Welcome to the English Department! This has traditionally been a very enjoyable and thought-provoking subject and we believe this to be the case at Webster’s High.  Not only do pupils have the opportunity to read and enjoy great texts, but they can also learn how to express themselves in an accurate and confident way, through many different kinds of writing and talk.  Pupils will also be encouraged to take part in other related activities, such as theatre trips, author visits and debating.
