Athletics Club

One of the first projects that the Parent Council is going to get involved in is assisting the school to run an Athletics Club.  We have some amazingly talented pupils (and ex-pupils) from Webster's, and hold a lot of unbroken sporting records; the aim of the Athletics Club is to help develop these talents and encourage new interest from pupils by providing specialist equipment, guidance and coaching.  However, we need help to do this!  Maybe you could help coach someone in a particular field or perhaps you would be happy to help with the administration of the club.  Any help at all would be appreciated - we can't do it on our own!

If you have a child at school who would like to be a member of Webster's High School Athletics Club or if you are interested in being involved with the club then please email parentcouncil@webstershigh.angus.sch.uk with your details, subject ‘Athletics Club’, and we will get back to you.

VALENTINE’S DISCO

In the past year, this group has raised funds through two major event:.

On Valentine’s Day we held an old school Disco in Kirriemuir Town Hall that raised significant funds, building on the previous year’s success.   We hope this will be an annual event.

The WAGs also organised a very enjoyable Quiz Night in November.

This brought the fundraising total to £1039.19

Some of these funds were used to provide:

  • two marquees, as requested by the sports department - these were needed for outdoor activities

  • contribution towards a projector, replacing an older version which was donated by the school to the Litien school in Kenya.

  • a dinner money float for the school office to use for emergencies.

  • the Bodyworks Initiative described above.

  • refreshments at the annual prize giving and the Christmas Concert.
