A few weeks ago pupils and staff found themselves under
severe pressure in the "Eggheads' challenge" (a take on the BBC
programme "Eggheads") which took place in the Assembly Hall at
lunchtimes. The teachers battled fiercely against the pupils in a
general knowledge quiz designed find out whether wisdom really
does come with age!
Every day from Tuesday, six pupils from one
of the four houses challenged a team of teachers on topics ranging from
science to politics. The teachers started off with an easy win of
five-one against Clova on Tuesday but were later thwarted by Isla and
Prosen pupils who both beat them 4-2 in their respective contests. Moy
pupils rounded off the week with a great 3-1 win victory on Friday.
Overall, the pupils outclassed the teachers with a score of three-one!
Clearly a return match is called for.
